Relieve from MMRDA, Appointed on MMRCL

Chief Minister Devandra Fadnavis led MMRDA from last 10 years cleverly save Ineligible Officer R Ramanna to remove from service. MMRDA recently sanction VRS of Ramanna and relieve him from service but other side he was appointed on Mumbai Metro Company's  MMRCL as Executive Director.

Anil Galgali through RTI, had sought information on what action MMRDA has pursued  as directed by the government, on relieving Ramanna and 3 such officers. It is learnt that MMRDA had received such order from the government on 11.10.2004 and had asked MMRDA to relieve 4 of its officers. Instead of following orders of the government MMRDA not only retained these officers but also promoted them. Ramanna was again inducted this time through "open category" and given the desk of "transport planner". Earlier before the government order to relive came, Ramanna had worked for the MMRDA and got inducted on basis of "backward class". Apart from Ramanna, Minz and Pravin Kumar were the other ones who resigned immediately fearing government action. P.K.Naik was "dropped" as he belonged to the border region. An inquiry was being conducted on the rising of irregular and untimely postings in MMRDA. It was being conducted by retired under secretary Shri. Kochrekar. This committee found that the selection committee and the divisional promotion committee's 2 officers neglected the rules and government eariler decisions. That time MMRDA has take disciplinary action on 2 officers who are mainly handle the appointment of Ramanna and other officers who are belongs to other state apart from Maharashtra But the officer who was found "guilty" was appointed on direct recruitment insted of sack from MMRDA. Then project director UPS Madan clearly supported Ramanna by his letter dated 29.04.2002. Then also Madan had accepted that these kind of favors were not applicable to this officers under Government Resolution but unfortunately indirectly they were get undue benefits.

RTI actvist Anil Galgali has demanded an action, letter address to CM and CS on 20 November 2014.  After Galgali complaint Mr Ramanna give application on 22 December 2014 to sanction VRS from his Additional Chief Transport Planning post which was approved on 22 December 2014. MMRDA informed Galgali that Mr Ramanna was free on 21 Jan 2015 from MMRDA service. But actually Ramanna again get new job as Executive Director in Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation limited from 15 December 2014. Its was purely adjustment of officer who was guilty and instead of action government again give new chance, say Galgali.  A letter address to CM, Galgali demand inquiry regarding same.
