Proposal of having 306 additional divisions rejected by the Govt

Proposal received via 12 universities of having additional 306 divisions for the Year 2015 -16 has been flatly rejected by the BJP Government. Its revealed a query filed by RTI Activists Anil Galgali. The proposal of having highest divisions i.e. Of having additional 154 divisions came from the Shivaji University, kolhapur. RTI activist Anil Galgali had ask the current situation and status of demand of additional division to Higher and Technical Education Department. As usual, information was not conveyed for which Anil Galgali went into the appeal. The first Appellate Authority and Deputy Secretary then ordered PIO Ranjeet Ahire to provide required information to Galgali. Now in the information acquired, it was known that the demand for additional divisions of 306 had been rejected by the government. In addition to that as per government letter dated 29th April 2015, government had already decided of not having new universities, separate science wing, subjects, study pattern and having additional divisions for Year 2015-16. For Year 2015-16 demand of having additional divisions came highest 154 from the Shivaji University, Kolhapur, followed by Mumbai University demanding 62, Pune's Savitribai Phule University demanding 30 additional divisions, 16 from Sant Gadgebaba University at Amravati, having 16 additional divisions from North Maharashtra university of Jalgaon, 12 from Solapur University, 8 came from Nagpur's Sant Tukadoji Maharaj University, 5 from Swami Ramanand Tirth Marathwada University at Nanded, 2 from Gondwana University of Gadchiroli and 2 from Mumbai,s SNDT University. "To reject such important decisions on having Universities, additional divisions, science wings, change in study patterns is a major goof up Government has done", said Anil Galgali. Anil Galgali has written to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra demanding to reject the government decision taken in this effect.
