One Day "Message " to the Nation by PM Just Cost Rs 8.30 Crores

The amount spent on the one day "Message " to the Nation addressed by our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi has just costed us, crores. In an application filed under the right to information act, The information and publicity department has informed RTI Sctivist Anil Galgali that the amount is indeed, in tune of Rs. 8.30 crores. Firstly The "Man ki Baat" program in which the Prime Minister in first of its kind addresses the nation through various mediums. In an attempt to get information about One day "Message " to the Nation addressed by our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi that involved costs, Anil Galgali had filed an RTI with the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. In it's reply, Nitesh Zha, Deputy Director-of Advertising and Visual Publicity, gave an haphazard answer, which did not satisfy Galgali. In turn an appeal was filed with the with the Director Ravi Rama Krishna, after which correct information with accurate figures were made available to Galgali. In all, in 14 stages of 4094 advertisements published or shown, an amount of 8,29,36,620/- (Eight crore twenty nine lakhs thirty six thousand six hundred and twenty) were spent, said the reply to the RTI. When probed further as to who are the makers of these advertisements, it was revealed that the product is made by the Advertising and Visual Publicity's department itself. No other outside agency's help is required. On what basis or what constitutes the PM to address public, to which, as and when need arises, through efficient officer's the decision is taken on 3 parameters-occasion, importance of the day, and requirement. These parameters are decided by the efficient manpower working on this subject day in day out, concluded Krishna. Addressing Nation, is solely a responsibility of centre's Advertising and Visual Publicity department,and we are doing it with utmost perfection, quipped Krishna. As advertisement in newspaper the rates for Govt (Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity's- DAVP) advertisement rates are low as compare to rates for common man. Yet the amount spent is high & the benefits for common man is Zero, said Galgali
