Mumbai suburban esidents and consumers of Adani Power have protested on road at Sakinaka against extra billing. A protest march was taken to the Sakinaka office of Adani Power. Adani Power to ensure transperancy in conduct of business by uploading the income expenses statement on website.
Organized by Abbas Mirza President of Rashtriya Ekta Foundation the protest march saw participants sloganeering against Adani Power. The march began from Jari Mari to Sakinaka office of Adani Power. RTI Activist Anil Galgali stated that even though the government has initiated enquiry into Adani Power, citizens will not tolerate the high handedness of Adani Power and will ensure hard earned money of public is not looted by the company. If required the people will continue their protests. Anil Galgali further appealed to Gautam Adani owner of Adani Power to ensure transperancy in conduct of business by uploading the income expenses statement on website. Demands were made for individual meters to be installed for each consumer and ensure monthly correct meter readings. Delegation including Abbas Mirza, Vikas Shelke, Dinesh Madhu Kunta, Prashant Baramati, Avdhut Wagh, Sikandar Sheikh, Babu Naik, Mani Nadar, Farque Khan, Pradeep Sigh, Anil Gole, Seema Khandekar, Vandana Mane, Shakila Banu Shaikh, Gudiya Pathak amongst other handed over a letter to comoany official Sampada Jain who assured prompt action in the matter.
