After spending Rs 33.34 lakhs, MMRDA Head Office deprived of E-Office

MMRDA headed by the CM lacks a proper E-OFFICE was a fact admitted by the administration in an RTI response to RTI Activist Anil Galgali. The project for E-OFFICE is ongoing for the past 15 months and MMRDA has already incurred an expense of Rs 33.34 lakhs on it.

RTI Activist Anil Galgali had sought information from the MMRDA about the E-OFFICE at its headquarters. The MMRDA's Information and Technology cell has informed Galgali that, for the E-OFFICE it had received a proposal from NICISI, on which the IT cell has started the work on 04/07/2016. On the query pertaining to the completion of work, it has been informed that the work is still in progress and the MMRDA has spent Rs 33.34 lakhs on it and yet the work is still incomplete. 

Anil Galgali in is comment has stated that at one end the MMRDA is claiming to create a Smart BKC but its own Office situated in BKC is not Smart. In a letter addressed to Chief Minister and MMRDA Chairman Devendra Fadnavis, Galgali has demanded that the project of converting it's headquarter as a smart Office be completed as soon as possible, which will facilitate the MMRDA Officers to sort out the problems of the citizens in a fast and efficient manner apart from making the Head quarters of MMRDA smart.
