The people are suffering due to the high bill of Mess. Adani Power Company, which supplies electricity in Mumbai suburbs. Now the electricity bill is being hung on the meter without delivery at home, so the bill is not received on time. Anil Galgali, an RTI activist, has demanded that the Maharashtra government and the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission take a decision on the increased bill.
RTI activist Anil Galgali has lodged complaints with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Energy Minister Dr Nitin Raut, Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar and the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission and Adani Power Company. Anil Galgali's complaint states that citizens are already suffering from hidden electricity bills. Electricity bill is not paid on time. The bill is not received as the contractor is hanging the electricity bill on the meter. When this is the status of electricity bill then do they take readings or not? Galgali claims that this is a big question.
Today, in the suburbs, 100 per cent of citizens have Suffer due to increase in the amount of bill because adani company not take reading proplly. The amount on bill is base on last year bill so now people facing the issue. It's now depend upon MERC to take proper decision and relief the people, said Galgali.
