Contractors have been appointed to supply 300kg of dry wood to the deceased person in the cemetery under the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai. KV Parulekar, contractor at Mulund T Ward now under fire and Bmc issued a show cause notice after verifying the complaint of RTI activist Anil Galgali.
RTI activist Anil Galgali complained that Contractor was supplying wet and low quality wood to the cemetery near Mulund West dumping ground. Assistant Commissioner KB Gandhi here ordered immediate action. Medical health officer Dr Mahendra Shinganpurkar has issued a show cause notice explaining why you should not be held responsible and why your contract not cancel after the complaint is investigated. According to Anil Galgali, citizens are required to complain and the administration of the municipality will take even harder action. All the cemeteries in Mumbai are undergoing such a blaze, so it's duty of all Medical Health Officer should be alert .
