Thousands of Constable and assistant sub-inspectors in the state have been hit by the Home Ministry's maneuvering policy from the Director General of Police in the pending promotion case since 2013. But the relentless efforts of RTI activist Anil Galgali have been successful and 1061 Constable and assistant sub-inspectors of police have been made sub-inspectors in the state following a circular from the office of the Director General of Police.
Be it a police constable and Ass Sub Inspector who has passed the examination for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police, he has been waiting for promotion for the last 7 years. Anil Galgali, an RTI activist, met Additional Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte and gave details. Mr Kunte moved quickly and finally Home Minister Mr Anil Deshmukh signed the pending order in Home Minister office. The promotions were expected to take place last year, but unfortunately the time-consuming policy was adopted by sending a letter to the Home Ministry even though the decision-making power was in the office of the Director General of Police.
Following recent promotion, the state's sub-inspector of police thanks Anil Galgali for his support..Anil Galgali has clarified that the government is expected to take a decision at the right time. A lesson from this matter, the government should issue instructions to all departments to take immediate decision in all this type of matter in a practical manner.
