Displaying a bill details at a private hospital reception or outside

The Maharashtra government is trying to control the looting and financial exploitation in private hospitals, but there are various complaints of looting every day. Even though all private hospitals claim reasonable rates, hidden rates make patients and families helpless. Therefore, RTI activist Anil Galgali has asked Chief Minister Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray to display the amount of the bill detils at the reception or outside the private hospital.

In a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, Health Minister Rajesh Tope and Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta, RTI activist Anil Galgali said that in such cases, it was necessary to display the bill details at the hospital reception or outside. This will ensure that the hospital management does not give false information and the general public will know the truth. Galgali further said that today the minister, officials suddenly go to the hospital and give show cause notice but no on-the-spot action is taken. This increases the Arbitrary of the hospital management.

Anil Galgali has demanded that the amount of bill details be displayed at the reception or outside the hospital to control looting and financial exploitation in private hospitals.
