Bmc neglects to find corona positive cases in the containment zone though included in Lockdown 4.0 guidelines

In the guidelines of Lockdown 4.0 released by the Home Ministry, the central government had issued instructions to implement the recommendation of house-to-house surveillance as well as all measures in the containment zone, emphasizing the detection of corona positive cases. However, RTI activist Anil Galgali has complained that despite the notification being issued on May 17, 2020, no action has been taken by the BMC so far.

In a complaint sent to Chief Minister Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray and Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal by RTI activist Anil Galgali, he said that in the guidelines of Lockdown 4.0 released by the Home Ministry, the Center has emphasized on detecting corona positive cases. The matter is included in the guidelines of Lockdown 4.0 for the purpose of identifying corona positive cases and treating such cases independently and effectively to control such cases separately. After Anil Galgali's correspondence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepted the suggestion and suggested measures in the containment zone.

Today, the number of patients and death rates in Mumbai is increasing and the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has ignored the guidelines, alleging that no measures are being taken in the containment zone and corona positive cases are being found more and more wherever they are found earlier. The containment zone is meant to be completely closed, and finding accurate and consistent cases in the containment zone so it can save Mumbai from further spread of the corona, Galgali said.
