The dream of becoming sub-inspector of 1500 policemen legalized in departmental eligibility test 2013 has been shattered to give promotion as police sub-inspector.
The highest 563 posts in this list come under the Mumbai Police Commissionerate, while Pune has 94 promotion cases. Rti activist Anil Galgali has written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and sought a promotion on 1500 posts immediately.
RTI activist Anil Galgali has drawn his attention in a letter sent to Chief Minister Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta, additional Chief Secretary Srikant Singh and DGP Subodh Jaiswal that on February 3, 2020, special inspector General of Police Rajesh Pradhan had issued a circular citing the government decision
In addition to the government judgement in this circular, it has been clarified to give promotions to the officers of the open category and the qualified officers of the backward category as pronounced by the High Court. In this case, the court case, departmental enquiry or any case proposed, whether, how and the punishment are being paid, was asked to provide a detailed report on 10th February 2020. Unfortunately, till today, none of this has been given a promotion.
Galgali has demanded that those whose reports have been received should be given promotions immediately and justice should be given to other policemen also.
