Effect of Anil Galgali's complaint
Western Railway is considered to be the better in railway services but The Western Railway is being mistreated by Ministry of Railway. For the last 9 months, the post of General Manager in Western Railway was vacant, which was complained by RTI activist Anil Galgali. After this complaint, the Railway Ministry woke up from a deep sleep and now Ashok Kumar Mishra is the new General Manager.
RTI activist Anil Galgali had asked for various information about the General Manager of Western Railway. Deputy Chief Staff Officer of Western Railway Ram Prasad B informed Anil Galgali that the post of General Manager of Western Railway is vacant from February 1, 2022. Presently Prakash Butani who is Additional General Manager has been given the charge. Competent authority for this appointment is Railway Board and it is advised to get information about the name of Competent Authority from Railway Board.
Anil Galgali has sent a letter to the Railway Minister and the administration demanding that the vacant post be filled immediately.Anil Galgali's demand got fame and after 9 months, Western Railway got the General Manager.
