Anti-corruption department of Navi Mumbai has recently taken action against the field officer of CIDCO who demanded bribe to fix the compensation to be received from CIDCO to the affected project victim of Navi Mumbai Airport. Despite this fact, the information given by RTI activist Anil Galgali has come to light that the allotment of plots to the project affected farmers by CIDCO and the waiting list is not updated.
RTI Activist Anil Galgali had applied RTI to CIDCO on February 16, 2023. In this application, Anil Galgali had sought information about the plots allotted to the project-affected farmers under CIDCO and the waiting list. CIDCO Assistant Development Officer Shrikant Pavaskar informed Anil Galgali that objective information is intended to be made available under the Right to Information Act. In this section, the information of the plot allotted under the 12.5 percent scheme has been kept according to village wise file number. He invited Mr Galgali for File Inspection before appeal to furnish the file number and name of village.
According to Anil Galgali, the work of Navi Mumbai Airport is progressing rapidly and the work of compensation in the form of plots from CIDCO is also underway. In it financial transaction is being done to approve the proposal to determine the eligibility of the plot to be received in exchange of the constructed house or land to the project affected person. If the information is up-to-date, CIDCO officials will have to answer the reason for the delay. So This information is not updated. Anil Galgali has sent a letter to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Vice Chairman of CIDCO demanding that the allotment and waiting list should be published on the website.
