Kalyan-Dombivali still waiting for their Rs 6500 cr package announce by CM
On the eve of Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation elections,held in 2015, CM Devendra Fadnavis during one such rallies held, had announced a package of 6500 crores for the development of the twin cities. But till today, not even a single rupee has come for the development of KDMC, quips Anil Galgali who had filed an RTI in this regard with the Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC).
In a RTI filed with the KDMC and the Chief Minister's office (CMO), RTI Activist Anil Galgali has ask a query that please furnished the detail of Rs 6500 cr "Package" had in turn been released by the Government to the KDMC. The CMO very conveniently forwarded the RTI application to the Urban Development Department and they in turn forwarded it to the MMRDA, shedding off responsibility to give out the information. Account Officer and The Public Information officer (PIO) of the KDMC, Vinay Kulkarni in his reply, said no such funds have been received till date from the Government.
"The CM should stick to his promises what he did. CM had promised the people of Kalyan Dombivali of development. But if the CM fails to adhere this, it will tarnish the image amongst the people and the people of the cities will feel neglected" said Anil Galgali.
Before the polls for Kalyan Dombivbali Municipal elections, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had addressed a rally on the 3rd of October 2015 wherein he had announced a package of Rs. 6500 crores. Apart from this, the 27 villages that have been left out of the KDMC, a special package of Rs. 1200 crores was announced by then. The rally was also attended by BJP state chief Raosaheb Danve and Education Minister Vinod Tawde with Cabinet Minister, Office Bearers of Bjp.
