Western railway should permit First Class commuters to travel in AC local

In a letter addressed to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, RTI Activist Anil Galgali has requested that the first class commuters be permitted to travel in the newly launched AC local on Western Railway.

RTI Activist Anil Galgali has in a letter addressed to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, MOS Railway and Chairman Railway Board requested that the first class commuters be permitted to travel in the newly being launched AC local on the western railway looking at the huge rush in the first class and also the chances of the AC local running empty in the initial stages. This will ensure that the load is distributed and will acclimatise the First Class commuters to the AC local and in the later stage the first class commuter can renew the passes at a small increased charges for permanently traveling in AC local. Also the frequency of AC local would be less thereby a continuous service to the commuters would be lesser and hence they can switch to regular local. This would ensure that the AC local gets commuters and not forced to run empty and commuters are not force to wait for next AC local, said Galgali.
