The Mumbai Municipal corporation has regularised the illegal modifications observed in the bungalow belonging to Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and 6 other bigwigs, as per the information provided by the Competent Officer and Asst Engineer of the P South Ward to RTI Activist Anil Galgali.

In a letter sent to RTI Activist Anil Galgali, the competent officer and Asst Engineer P South Ward has informed that, a notice under Section 53(1) of the MRTP Act was issued to Super star actor Amitabh Bachchan and 6 other bigwigs for illegal Construction in their respective bungalows. In response to the notice, Architect Shashank Kokil and Associates representing the Owner/Residents/Developer's submitted a fresh ammended plan on 5th January 2017 to the Executive Engineer (Building Proposal), Western Suburbs, P Ward. The Execution Engineer acting on the application with ammended plans have regularised the violation as per the previous approved plans.

7 bungalow built in Goregaon East locality. The P South Ward Office  Under MRTP have been issued notices  to 7 persons including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajkumar Hirani, Oberoi Realty, Pankaj Balaji, Sanjay Vyas, Haresh Khandelwal , Haresh Jagtani etc on 7th December 2016,  for the variations observed in contrast of the Approved plans. On receiving the MRTP notices, the Architect Shashank Kokil submitted proposal on 5th January 2017 which was rejected by the MCGM's Building Proposal department on 17th March 2017. This rejection was conveyed to the Architect vide it's letter dt 11th April 2017 along with a copy to P south ward as information and conveying its final order to remove all the illegal construction and violation. The P South Ward Office also issued a final order Dt 6th May 2017 to themselves remove the violation and restore as per Original sanctioned plans. Thereafter the Architect Shashank Kokil resubmitted ammended plans.

Anil Galgali had in a letter addressed to CM Devendra Fadnavis had demanded strict and immediate action under the MRTP Act against the violators and carrying out demolition of the violation. Galgali had also alleged in that letter that several officer's of the department were hand in glove and were adopting delaying tactics for the purpose of securing approvals through regularisation proposal, which seems to have succeeded, alleged Galgali. In a blatant display of disparity, the Mumbai Municipal corporation bulldozes the structure's of the poor Slum dwellers and in the other side works towards regularising the illegal Construction of the Rich and the Powerful, lamented Anil Galgali.
