Although there was a lot of hue and cry for more then 11 Lakhs missing names in the voters list during Bmc Election but only 63 written complaints were filed with Bmc Election Department. An RTI filed by RTI Activist Anil galgali revealed this fact.
RTI activist Anil galgali had filed an RTI at BMC Election department about the number of written complaints received by the Bmc election office in this regard.The Election Office Administrative officer replied to Galgali's query that only 63 complaint received by there office till now in connection with Missing names in the voters list. In the Bmc election held in 2012 and year 2017 the total number of voters were 1,02,86,579 and 91,80,555 respectively. In comparison to 2012 the number of voters was 11 lakhs 6 Thousand and 24 voters less. But complaint number denotes the negative attitude of voters and shows that till Voter's are not serious for there voting rights, said Galgali.
