Bihar still awaits PM's Special package

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised a 1.25 lakh crore package during State assembly polls held there last year. This assurance has yet to yield fruits & Bihar still awaits the special package, An RTI inquiry by RTI Activist Anil Galgali revealed.

An RTI was filed by Anil Galgali on 9th December 2016, seeking details of assurances given by Prime Minister to different states of the union & the consequent action taken thereon.  As expected,  Deputy Director of Finance Ministry Anand Parmar restrained himself from giving out straight reply,  But did it in a round-about manner. About the Rs 1,25,003/- special package announced on 18 Aug 2015 by the PM to Bihar, The projects/ works will be completed in a phased manner, but till no a single paisa release till date. Likewise, a Rs 80,068 crore package was announced for Jammu & Kashmir on 7th November 2015. This was meant to used for flood relief measures, Long term Relief & Development of the state. Galgali said, It's a shame that assurances given to the state of Bihar by the PM of India have failed.  Interesting that Sikkim Govt ask Rs 43,589 package on 15 June 2016 & this sum has also not been disbursed yet. Till PM Modi yet not take any decision on the Sikkim Govt plea.
