Annual Sports Meet 2.0 Celebrated with Grandeur by Ajitha Nair Educational Trust, Kurla


Kurla witnessed an atmosphere of enthusiasm, energy, and celebration as Ajitha Nair Educational Trust successfully organised its Annual Sports Meet 2.0 on 7th February 2026 at Kohinoor Turf.


The mega sporting event brought together students, parents, educators, and dignitaries in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship and holistic education. Over 500 students from Nair International Pre-School and Roshan English High School participated enthusiastically, while more than 400 parents cheered wholeheartedly, transforming the venue into a lively arena of encouragement and excitement.

A wide range of fun-filled and competitive races were organised for different age groups, including Bunny Race, Picnic Race, Three-Leg Race, Cone Pyramid Race, Obstacle Race, and several other engaging activities. These events ensured active participation, enjoyment, and healthy competition among students.

Adding to the excitement, a lucky draw for parents was organised, featuring multiple consolation prizes along with three major gifts, which received an enthusiastic response from the audience. 

The Sports Meet commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Anil Galgali Ji, Senior Journalist and National-level RTI Activist, along with Journalist Shivdinesh Sharma Ji and Ajitha Nair Ji (Amma), marking an auspicious beginning to the event.

The event was graced by Shivsena MLA Dilip (Mama) Lande as the Chief Guest. The programme was further dignified by the presence of eminent guests including IRPS Rishikumar Shukla (RPF), ACP Sudhir Hirdekar, Congress Corporator Arshad Azmi, Trustee Nilesh Kore, along with several senior officials from the social sector, police force, and media fraternity.

All dignitaries actively encouraged the students and felicitated the winners with medals, certificates, and trophies, recognising their efforts and achievements.

The programme was smoothly and confidently anchored by Ms Safa Sajid Salmani, an alumna of the institute, whose engaging presentation added charm to the proceedings.

Teachers played a pivotal role in the success of the Sports Meet.The Primary Section was efficiently headed by Mr Sashant Shivdasan Nair, Headmaster and Trustee of the Trust. The sports activities were meticulously coordinated by PT Teacher Ms Neeta Virkar, whose dedication and expertise were evident throughout the event. The Secondary Section was guided by Head Teacher Ms Shariya Khan along with her committed team. The Pre-Primary Section was managed under the leadership of Ms Misbah Sayed (Kurla Branch) and Ms Shama Shaikh (Jarimari Branch).

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Rahul Ramchandran Nair, President of Ajitha Nair Educational Trust, who expressed sincere gratitude to all guests, parents, teachers, staff members, and students for making Annual Sports Meet 2.0 a grand success.
The event truly reflected the Trust’s vision of nurturing young minds through discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness, leaving behind cherished memories of joy, motivation, and inspiration for everyone present.
