Mumbai must be made homeless free - Anil Galgali
World Homeless Day in Mumbai
Though the government has announced various policies for the rights of the homeless the actual condition is quite different. RTI activist Anil Galgali asserted that there is an urgent need for the government to make Mumbai homeless-free.
On the occasion of world homeless day a program was organised for the homeless of Worli and Mahim with the help of Brijesh Arya, the President of the organisation Pehchan and Member of State level Shelter Monitoring Committee. After a lot of repeated requests the BMC has now announced training and shelter for the homeless. Under the Central Government all will be provided a house of their own. Mumbai needs to be made homeless free. According to Brijesh Arya, there are many problems and now we can see a positive change. Everyone needs to face this problem collectively. During this time the other members Babu Batteli, Jaydeep Arora, Shivaji Londe, Ratnakar Shetty,, Subhash Rokade, Manasvi Jain, Ramu Parmar, Basanti Parmar, Rekha Chawda, Geeta Chawda, Madhu Parmar, Arjun were also present.
