Exemption from biometric attendance for  medical faculties in Maharashtra including Mumbai based on AIIMS

AIIMS has given information to RTI activist Anil Galgali, that they have exempted medical faculties from biometric attendance in AIIMS. RTI activist Anil Galgali has written a letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis seeking removal of Biometric attendance for medical faculties on the lines of AIIMS in Maharashtra including Mumbai.

RTI activist Anil Galgali had asked AIIMS for information regarding exemption from biometric attendance for doctors working as faculty in AIIMS. Professor Dr. A Sharif of AIIMS's Computer Department informed Anil Galgali that clinical faculties in AIIMS have been exempted from biometric attendance . According to Anil Galgali, in Mumbai and Maharashtra, the number of patients is increasing day by day as compared to available Doctors and other staff .In such a scenario,  the doctor and other related employees have to work according to the situation and sometimes have to spend more time than their regular duty hours, but the government or the municipality does not pay them for overtime. Therefore, based on information from AIIMS, the condition of compulsory biometric attendance for medical faculties working in government and municipal corporations  in Maharahtra including Mumbai should be cancelled.
